Excuse me, it’s 2024, not 2004. We have smartphones now. I can be active dodging Hou You Ih’s construction equipment along the Danshui river and complain about it online at the same time. No need for PC. Best of both worlds.
So less time on the internet?
I don’t think you are noticing all of the mousy girls in oversized t-shirts.
Is oversize t shirt bad, men like wear it and not a good fitting shirt.
Are you saying no shirt is better???
probably because you’re looking at girls more than you are boys
probably because your male friends are a shy
probably because you’re cute
bias is the keyword here
Thats fashionable right now. It isnt ‘mousy’
Men wear oversize shirts to cover up their beer guts, honey.
Taiwan is firmly in not sexy fashion phase. I remember the very light vests baring the shoulders ‘xiao ke ai’, the underwear outerwear trend (not so good ) but now yeah…more like the Western 90s isn’t it.
Do girls still walk around with ass crack like they did in the 00s?
Nope
Do you remember the butt crack years in the mid-2000s, when the trendy low rise pants were not (ahem) fit for purpose?
Now the pants are decidedly high rise, with ludicrously cropped tops ascending (literally, it turns out).
Ride the waves of fashion at your own risk!
Guy
I remember all the trends how could I not.
Now I find women dress very conservatively here.
Someone remembers!
Guy
Can’t have ass cracks when many have flat asses
I was here, I saw my share.
Now it’s bared stomachs all the way so much so that when I see someone NOT doing that I salute their ability to think for themselves and walk their own path.
Guy
Yeah I guess it’s better than nothing, along with Lycra gymwear I will have to accept it .
Come to Taipei mate and have a look around. Conservative is very off the mark.
Shirts paired with a bra is very normal. Sports bra or normal bra, i’ve seen plenty of both. I’ve even seen one girl wearing a long t-shirt paired with only panties. and the T-shirt wasn’t even very long.
I’m seeing braless more and more too. That used to be pretty frowned upon. Now i guess they see it on IG so they think its ok to do it in the street. I’ve even heard Taiwanese friends confused about why the new generation are dressing like sluts.
You used to pass the odd girl who would be clearly wearing tiny shorts to show off. Now its like almost all the young people (dressing in a show offy way i mean).
