Windows XP Home doesn't recognize Chinese. Any suggestions?

I just bought a new laptop at NOVA. They helped me by installing XP in English, but it’s not recognizing Chinese characters. It keeps asking me to install the language pack on “CD 2” but the XP recovery CDs they gave me at the store don’t have the file I need.

I checked the Microsoft site and the Home version of XP does NOT have a language component like Professional does. Great.

Any suggestions? Ideas? (besides buying XP Pro)

and make sure that Control Panel->Regional and Languages->advanced has “Chinese (Taiwan)” selected

Well… you dont necessarily have to “buy” xp pro.
