Windows XP - Home Edition vs. Professional

In a nutshell, what’s the difference between those?

In a nutshell, Prof. edition has networking capabilities that home edition doesn’t. So if you just want to use it at home, buy home edition.

XP professional supports add-on language packs, the home version doesn’t.

Thanks!

This link goes over some of the differences. I would suggest using the Pro edition if you have DSL or Cable where your computer will be on the net and will be accessable via the net. Pro edition provides some security features that just doesn’t exist on the home edition. Personally I still like Win 2000 better.
