Winning by Losing an Argument

I like that idea. Someone might win an argument (like on an Internet forum like this one) and he/she will feel good about it, but is he/she really the winner? Or is it the one on the other side who learned something by asking smart questions? Next time I’ll try to finish an argument by saying: “Wow, that was a really good argument! Thank you!” And maybe all part having learned a thing or two. :wink:

Nozick, I think, understood the psychology of philosophers much better, and Cohen lifted a lot of his talk from him.
