As people age, sometimes people understand what they want and don’t want better, and perhaps become less willing to put up with stuff, or maybe become set in their ways and are less willing to change. Also, the society is much less oppressive towards people being single than before. Maybe people just don’t want to accommodate another person’s shortcomings just for the sake for an obligation to get married. There’s nothing wrong with being single, when you don’t mind being single, that is.
And thats why we have idiots turning to chatbots, onlyfans and what not.

I remember reading something about choice overload. When one has say two or three kinds of honey to choose from at a shop, one can process the options and arrive at a decision. If this number gets scaled up to say twenty or more kinds of honey, then trouble occurs.
I wonder if something similar is happening in the dating game, leading to some paralysis or perhaps even some anxities about FOMO.
