Work permit requirements

Sorry, kind of thread hijacking, though related topic, so I post here.

I was born in Taiwan, so I guess I don’t have to worry about the work permit stuff.

I’ve been away from Taiwan for 28 years before my return just 1+ weeks ago. (finally got rid of jetlag the last 2 days or so).

I’m a Canadian who have lived in the USA for a long time, bilingual in Mandarin and bi-cultural.

Just wanted to point out, that if you are not a ROC citizen with household registration, basically you need a work permit, and if you are a male ROC citizen with household registration, basically you should do a conscription.
