I’m a U.S. citizen and am currently applying for a Taiwan passport, and I plan to stay in Taiwan later this year with family. I will also be doing an internship at a U.S. company later this year. Do I need to apply for a Taiwan work visa? I read some topics about this, but the posters seemed either to be working at a Taiwan company or to be on a student visa.
Are you eligible for another kind of via, like a JFRV?
I believe you will need a work permit to be totally legal unless you are getting the passport because you were born in Taiwan.
Do you have an ID number on your passport?
If so you don’t need any permit.
But you will also have to serve in the army…
