Working reference - freelancer

Hi everyone,
I tried to find answers here, but nothing matches my problem.
I have a job offer for a computer company here in Taichung, but as everyone know, Taiwanese goverment wants 2 years working experience after one get his university degree (not master degree).
I have this experience as a freelance webdesigner and I had the certificate back in my country for that.
So what is my question? Will goverment accept if I write working reference for myself as a freelancer? Or is there any other way to confirm this?

I don’t think it is customer’s reference, I have to proove them that I have 2 years working experience so I can get my documents. For previous jobs, I sent them recommendation letters from my previous employers, but for freelancing I don’t have any (of course).

billing statements or tax returns should work. Unless you were freelancing underground.
if so, a reference from a customer(s) stating the time frame of a project(s).

Well, the problem is, that all these documents are in Czech language, so it needs certified translator (I think) and all of that is back in my Country. I would like to know if it is acceptable by government if I write a affidavit letter about my working experience, because I need it to be done ASAP.

When I first came here I created my own.

I used real people in real companies that I had worked for and got on well with, created a letter head from the website logo and went from there.

At least if you create your own you can do it in English and it will save you the hassle of getting it translated.

If you do an affidavit of experience, you would more than likely need prof of ie. a business license, tax returns, and customer references. But here in Taiwan, that all may hinge on the desk officer of the day and their interpretation of the rules.

Now I don’t understand. You made your own affidavit or recommendation letters and then let your customers confirm it?

you would be advocating a little thing called fraud.

Oh don’t get so bloody moral about it. You asked for advice and I gave it to you. If you don’t like it don’t do it.

It’s not really fraud if that’s what I knew those people would write and I did specifically say that I was on good terms with them.

Thanks both of you, I will write my own affidavit, ask some customers to write recommendation letters for me and also will try to get copy of my certificate. Hope it will work.

I did the same for the simple reason that the company I worked for back home no longer existed. So I took the letterhead and mocked up a letter of reference. The beauty of it being even if you wanted to check you couldn’t.

Rules are there to be got around.

plenty of people do, do it, that don’t make it right or legal.
If some one uses my company as a reference without my knowledge and the call is made to verify, I might be tempted to add a few lines to that reference.
