They announced the starter, and it’s not Noshi. It’s that guy with four words in his name.
WERE SCREWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWED!

Did they make that card right? Isn’t his last name Zhuang-Chen? They are treating like his surname is Zhuang, and his name is Chen Zhong-ao… The way they said his name in the US, I guess his last name is just Zhuang?
I wonder what his Pangcah name is.
Minor league pitchers probably got pitch count limits, so Hsu Jo-hsi will probably relieve Zhuang-chen after the 4th inning.
Kinda mad at the third base coach for not letting Wang go home on the Chin Ketsuken sac fly. He’s got wheels.
Final: Taiwan 6, Spain 3.
We were this close to not qualifying.
The announcing was great. They introduced Noshi’s nickname as “Son of the Dragon.” Then Tyler Maun called Ryan Rowland-Smith, who’s Australian (and played in the MLB), “Son of the Kangaroo.”
He’s got excellent control, and always jumps out ahead in the count. But then he ends up usually not getting the strikeout and runs his pitch count up real fast.
Probably geo-locked, but until WBC upload their own highlights, this is the most complete video we have.
Like I predicted, Hsu relieved Zhuang in the 4the inning, but Hsu actually gave up several extra base hits, including a homerun.
In the end, Taiwan qualified for the 2026 WBC. Hopefully next year we will get some major leaguers on Team Taiwan.
Good prediction. It looks like Noshi gets fatigued easily. He should be a closer, not a starter.
I think/hope we will be in Pool C.
Aus and Czechia are beatable, and Korea probably won’t learn their lesson and instead overlook us again.
A couple of more thoughts on the game:
Yeah, it’s very moving when the players shows how much they care about the game.
English highlights.
Is that… Manny?
Yes
Apparently some Taiwanese bungholes left negative comments on Incarnacion’s IG, forcing him to make it private.
But he was classy.
