Would you consider living nearby Shandao Temple Station?

Hello,

We have an older apartment that we are in the process of fixing up. The question we have for the community here is, would you consider living in the Shandao Temple area? We’re fascinated with the number of units listed in the Daan, Xinyi, Tienmu, Wanhua areas, but there doesn’t seem to be any housing in this area. We’re wondering if it’s work our investment to revitalizing our old place for rental.

Thanks,
David

Yes, I would. That’s a really convenient location. You can’t get any more central than that. What’s nice about Shandao Temple station is that it’s on the blue line only, so the crowd is much smaller than the nearby stations, which are transfer stations that always have large crowds. Shandao is relatively more residential but has the convenience of a central location, and Huashan park is of course another big plus for that area. You should be able to rent it out without any problem as long as the rent is not exorbitant.

As Incubus said, it’s got the park. It’s a brief walk away from entertainment -several movie theathers, nice bars, Zhongshan shopping area. There are several supermarkets. Ample sidewalks, relatively quiet while close to downtown. How much do you want?

I want a night market right next door, please.

Downtown, with an MRT station right there. Close to lots of stuff (train station area, Linsen Rd., Huashan Park), but relatively quiet in itself. Great location, I say.
