Xiaobitan questions

I need information about living in the Xiaobitan area.

I have looked at places near the MRT stop and the complex near Tesco.

  1. Any experiences with taking the bus 906 909 or 905 into Taipei, TunHua North road? It seems to be a pretty fast commute the three times I tried it. Much more convenient than taking MRT.

  2. Anyone know of any rental agents in this area? I have done into several of the real estate companies including XinYi and YungChing (?) but they only sell houses.

  3. Rent seems to be much more reasonable than in Taipei. What kind of rent for a 1 or 2 bedroom unfurnished place?

  4. Where exactly is this all day Karoake singing? Don’t want to be in that area.

  5. Where is New Garden City?

Probably, if MRT is out of direction, and maybe when it’s the wrong time of day.

Most of them also rent, but go to any appartmentbuilding and ask the security guard, they know.

My guess, 10-15,000 NT$

Thats happens when you go to the lower middle class neighbourhoods, or where a lot of retirees live.

On the road from Hsindian to Wulai, a 5-10 minute scooter ride from Hsindian MRT. 15 minutes by bus, they have a connection with the city, but at the wrong time of day you could get stuck and end up doing 30 minutes or more. Nice place but a little rundown, they have a few new places on sale. Rembember that this is the road to a tourist spot.

Belgian Pie, thanks for that helpful info.

How about the area near Tesco, it’s about 10 - 15 minute walk from XiaoBeitan Station. There are alot of new complexes in that area
