If I remember correctly, when you first sign up you need to specify US or International.

Feiren, how did this work out for you?
It didn’t, I lost another US$20 or so in the process and gave up after receivinng no help from Paypal despite several phone calls.
That really sucks. But I can’t understand why lost 20.00… was it a large sum of money you were trying to withdraw.
I tried to withdraw to my bank and it was rejected, but it only cost me NT70.
:fume:
There must be someone here connected with Paypal/Ebay right? Anyone know anyone who can straighten this out for us?
Bump
Any new (un)successful stories on this ?
Icon would like to join the ranks of Ebay sellers and it is just going through the process of setting this up. Any tips? warnings? Any trouble regarding current bank account stuff?
I have been actually using this since I got here, my 2 paypal US accounts have debit cards each, and they are both linked to my US Bank account.
Then I get the money from the Family Mart atms, no extra fees but I get like 29NT per dollar, I can even withdraw 100nt if necessary, it only holds 1usd for 48 hrs.
If I don’t have actual cash on my paypal accounts I just send money from 1 to the other, transfers right away and takes it out of the bank around 5 days later, no fees either.
Edit: I get my money from eBay too, and direct to customer.
The linking the bank account stuff was child’s play, even for Icon, which is to say a lot! The bank transfer codes information is found here: fisc.com.tw/tc/service/branch.aspx in the link PayPal provides for that purpose. So no going to the bank, no delays, no biggie.
So far, so good.

So how is it working for you? It takes too long to withdraw to your bank? I think I will be forced to close one of my 2 paypal accounts since I only have one bank account in the US. I would set up mine with my wife’s bank and info to get my muny here.
Works for me, but the withdrawal times (from Paypal to my Taiwan bank account) are quite slow - about a week or so.
I’ve been doing it regularly for a few years now with no problems.
