You Don't Eat Horse? Not even Rabbit?

With pineapple

There are many animals missing too, for example where are the dolphins?

Horse delicious with blue cheese like Gorgonzola, grilled and then put in a sandwich.

Rabbit lovely with potatoes, roasted, with beer glaze. Or a “loaf” of rabbit meat with spinach filling.

Italy could soon ban horse meat as part of a law that would define equine animals including horses, donkeys and mules as pets, making it illegal to kill them.

I’ve tried to horse meat thanks to a Mongolian friend who, somehow, smuggled the meat back to Taiwan. Not that different from beef, to be honest.

香肉 is not that hard to obtain, given the right connections. I won’t dwell on the breeds and their relative advantages ( 一黑、二黃、三花、四白) as I think everybody knows this classic hierarchy, but I can vouch for the veracity of this claim.

龍虎鳳 is definitely on my bucket list, as this would be an expedient way to cross off the remaining zodiac animals. Perhaps after reunification. 馬英九 might be the best one to accomplish this, (ironically?)

Unlikely to pass, they are trying to take some attention off of the constitutional referendum coming march.

Horse is also very popular in Ikea hot dogs.

Huh? I thought eating fish was perfectly normal among humans. Oh well, time to update Wikihuman, I guess. :idunno:

Having recently moved to the Sunshine Coast I’m impressed how fit people are on average here

One has to look good on the beach…

To be fair there’s more to the region than the beach. My impression is people here are generally practical and outdoorsy.

And I suspect the skyhigh rent doesn’t leave much space in the budget for groceries…

Horse wasn’t great for me, very chewy. Possibly cooked poorly. Rabbit when prepared correctly is outstanding.

Horse meat to my liking is in thin slices and put on sandwiches, like a ham sandwich but with horse meat instead. It’s also good as part of sausages

Rabbit is hard to cook, need to make it very delicate cuts and better as a starter than main IMO

One of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten was a rabbit paella.

There is definitely a socio-economic factor at play.
