Really? A huge variety? I think they’re all pretty much the same.
I like Laya, or whatever its english name is – 拉亞漢堡. They do tolerable paninis and such, with no weird crap in them.
There’s a little place in Banqiao where I buy a very good steamed rice burger of a morning. It’s spotlessly clean, quiet, well presented, and the service is great.
Is this place near the Nanjing/Jianguo intersection? The sign outside said Laya but on the menu it said Laguardia. :s I went there once and ordered a panini and they said they weren’t serving paninis anymore. Or is there another Laya somewhere else?
Right, same place. Laguardia is indeed their English name, it had escaped me. It’s a whole chain – I go to the ones in Taichung.
Speaking of paninis, Mr. Panini in the basement of the Eslite flagship store in Xinyi is actually very good for something offered in a food court.
