Not a lot of metal on this list, which in terms of technicality and groove is to me the most rich genre for guitar solos

I tried to pick a Cannibal Corpse ‘favourite’ but was difficult to find good footage so here is one where there is no ‘solo’ but the entire song is basically a grooving solo:

As for ‘solo’ solos, Pantera’s Walk comes to mind (cue’d at the solo for your convenience):

Poor old Gary Moore never gets a look in.

Parisienne Walkways is a classic.

Solo starts six minutes in.

Solo starts about 6:40 and slowly builds.

Second half of song is pretty much all solo.
