I think Comfortably Numb has that song beat for the guitar solo, especially some live versions.
Ima gonna check that out
Waters covered CN but managed to remove the signature Gilmore solo. Crazy bastard.
Like a 21 gun saluuute.
I was reading this yesterday
The result was arguably the best song Pink Floyd ever recorded.
Well, measure surely by airtime and dollar bills.
I can’t really listen to it anymore. I feel like that about a lot of the big rock radio songs though. That being said I don’t think I’d ever really have called it my favorite. I might have said one of these days for a long time, now maybe echoes. Not to take anything away from it, great tune obviously. Personal preference
Yeah. I wouldn’t turn the channel but anything off Animals is better imo.
I can’t tell you how many times I listened to that album, but I just can’t anymore. Wish You Were Here too. A lot of Pink Floyd actually
Here’s a solo. Richard Wright chips in too
amazing panning effects in this song
That happens I suppose. For me, and I read about this years ago, I can’t recall what happens next and am comforted by the
familiarity when it comes.
It’s some weird memory thing. It’s one of the reasons I can listen to the Dead again and again. To me, it’s always fresh.
I remember it clearly lol. I get kind of a burn out I guess. Musical memory always amazes me
Yeah, I get that. Eddy Brickel does that to me. Hate her albums .
And I can’t stand Jimi Hendrix. Just noise to me.
We may differ on what constitutes “noise”
It wouldn’t surprise me. Jimi to me is a machine gun backed up by a drum kit.
They both were great players though.
