1989: I was working in a bank in the Los Angeles area. A man entered the lobby wearing a ski mask. Instantly, all of us pressed our silent alarm buttons. Our branch had been robbed at gunpoint before, so of course we were taking no chances.
Turned out the man wasn’t a robber, just cold, and recently moved to California. It was chilly that day, but come on, no one wears a ski mask in southern California unless a crime is about to take place.
I don’t think the Stokes brothers should face jail time, but it definitely wasn’t a harmless prank.
Yeah misdemeanor, fine, community service…But felony?!? I did worse than that in the USA and my home country back in my younger and wilder days 
. Fortunately none of it was on video.
