In a move that shouldn’t surprise anyone, Ye “there will have no illegitimate deals in this office” Bu-Liang (KMT) has been indicted for bid rigging in connection with a local construction project. According to local news reports, prosecutors are seeking a twenty-year sentence for his part in manipulating the tender to favor a company owned by one of his supporters. Poor Ye, I wonder if his bushiban has established a legal defence fund. 
As long as the voters keep voting for people they know are corrupt but are locally known as “haoren” then these scumbags who get caught and indicted remain the tip of the iceberg. Lo Fu-chu, Ye Bu-Liang, Hsu Tsai-li, James Soong, Wu Chun-li and many more - the voters get who they deserve.
I guess that the Cup for Most Corrupt Mayors is going for the KMT…
