Hi all, do you know of any academic conferences in and around Taiwan (Inter-Asia) area that are focused on gender and sexuality? I am an American PhD student who will be studying for year in Taiwan and would like to get in touch with local or international conferences that happen in the Asia region. I am interested in any topics around gender and sexuality, but also cultural studies/humanities/social science in general. I am also interested in smaller talks as well happening in the area. I will be living in Taipei.
Hi, I don’t know of any going on right now but I remember Sandra Harding gave a talk last year at Kaohsiung Normal University. It was advertised at fembooks so I reckon it’s worth checking out what is advertised there to stay in touch with local and maybe international conferences.
