At what age in Taiwan can a child choose for himself which parent he/she wants to live with? In most states in America it’s 13.
I don’t believe that in any of the states of the US there is actually an age at which a child can legally “choose for himself” which parent he/she wants to live with while still legally a minor.
Rather, the older a child gets, the more weight a judge is likely to give to the child’s own choice or opinion in a custody dispute.
I believe that the same principal would probably generally hold true in Taiwan.

Not a lawyer but this makes sense. A person is a child until 18 years old in the USA. They don’t get to choose anything.
