Has anyone here ever bought a horse in Taiwan, and / or does someone have some leads / experience?
The SO is an avid horse rider. She rides every day at a riding school. Recently we feel the they have taught her what they know, and the treatment of the horses is ‘borderline abuse’. She is into natural horsemanship and we figure the next step is to buy our own horse. We have space and stables, so that is not an issue. The problem is finding a good horse at a good price.
We managed to find a few horse traders and breeders, but the prices are extremely and ridiculously expensive. I’m talking 1 million. Or 500k for a 20 year old gelding with one eye. We also talked to importers who can directly import Andalusian horses from Spain - but also at a premium and who knows in what conditions.
So, we were just wondering if anyone has done this before, and what were your experiences?
