These #$^&$$^$ things are so #*&%$%%( difficult to photograph -_- When they sit (stand?hang?) on something their wings are completely closed and don’t show much color. When they’re flying they look like a drug addict who’s having a seizure and keeps moving in every direction to avoid imaginary hyppos.
Due to the recent streak of bad weather I’ve had very few chances to cycle/hike. Sometimes we get 30+ degrees in the morning, then the afternoon is drenched in water, meaning that any long trip has to be post-poned until we get a more stable situation.
I’ve spent some time taking pics of “stuff”, I’ve had some fun with it.
Indeed! I couldn’t log in to the forum with my old account and I couldn’t remember my previous password, so rather than going through the password reset process and then change it again, I decided to make a new account. It was much quicker.
How do you setup for butterfly pictures? Do you approach them while they’re on the flower, or do you pick a convenient spot, stay still and wait for them to come?
Both, but most of the time approach them very slowly, taking pictures as I come in. I think patience is the most important thing. Most people give up if the butterfly flies off a few times.
