how does a dual ROC/USA citizen relinquish ROC citizenship while in the USA?

a co-worker’s kid wants to do it because she is applying for a job that requires it.
I guess it’s a big decision, as the job require giving up dual citizenship BEFORE
the applicant even allowed to submit the application form.

the kid was born in the USA but moved back to Taiwan with the parents when
she was only 5. both parents are still Taiwanese citizens and naturalized US
citizens. the whole family moved back to the USA about 11 years ago.

when someone gives up ROC citizenship, is it forever? for example if the person
wants to move back to Taiwan after retirement, can she apply to get her ROC
citizenship back WITHOUT giving up her USA citizenship?

any information appreciated!

oh man, they don’t have a 24/7 customer number?

AFAIK, a taiwanese male cannot give up his citiizenship during conscription age. Conscription ends at 37.

Considering that she is a female, I don’t think there will be a problem?

Taiwanese male in the draft age can give up nationality if they have Overseas Chinese Identification.
