How much exit notice to give a part-time job?

Can anyone tell me how much notice I am legally required to give my employer before leaving a part-time job?

It is an office job, not a teaching job.

I am an APRC holder.

Thanks in advance.

I don’t know if there is a legal time you must allow the employer to know you are leaving. I know 2 weeks is usually the common courtesy to give your notice.

Is there nothing in your contract that specifies? It’s pretty normal to base your notice on how often you’re paid. So for most people it’s a month.

If your job is subject to the Labor Standards Act, it depends on what type of contract you have, how long you’ve worked there, and whether or not your employer has violated your rights. See Art. 14 to 16.

Employment contracts are also subject to the Civil Code, which has a less specific exit clause (around Art. 488 or 489).
