I think anti-Chinese riots happened about 20 years or so ago in Indonesia. Now it looks like an Indonesian Islamist leader is starting to target ethnic Chinese in Indonesia and wanted to grab their wealth.
If I were Chinese in Indonesia, I’d be cautious of this. If he can get a non-Muslim politician jailed on fraudulent Muslim blasphemy charges, no telling what he might do next.
