Share your secret spots where you can avoid the crowd or got some spot that has better xiao long bao than the world renowned DTF?
I’ll start with a few…
Instead of Shilin Night Market, go to Rao He Night Market. Smaller crowd, less tourists and more of a traditional night market than Shilin!
Instead of (just) Elephant Mountain/Xiang Shan, go to Jiu Wu Feng/九五峯. Same mountain, higher peak, less people, longer hike, but better views!
Instead of getting bubble tea at any chain shop on the street, go to Chuen Shui Tang/春水堂. They invented bubble tea!
Instead of spending all your time in Taipei, go to Taidong or Hualien. The beauty of Taiwan lies to the east!
