Once I land a job, what will my employer need to do to bring me on-board?

On a related note, I would like to sign up for the National Health Insurance plan - should I do this on my own or is this something my new employer should handle? Are there other benefits I should request from my new employer – labor insurance?

Nothing beyond declare you to the tax people.

Your employer should sign you up for NHI, actually I think it’s mandatory if you’re a full time employee. However, there may be a wait if you’re on a trial period or similar. best to check with HR of course.

Now hang on to that baby for 5 years for a lovely APRC later on. Trust me, don’t rely on JFRV to l;ast forever. En serio.
