I absolutely love this video! I’ve ridden a YouBike from Zhonghe to Xinzhuang faster than my wife and kids can take the MRT, but that’s a bit of a winding path by train. This guy outran a tube train on foot. Granted, it was only for one stop, but it’s still pretty damn impressive.

this would be impossible in taiwan due to all the people who would get in your way and give no fucks about it.

Yeah, I can’t think of anywhere in Taipei where this would work even under ideal conditions (no delays due to people, traffic lights, cars, and so on). If anyone has any other similar videos, let’s see them.
