Is it possible to by sheets of lead here? Cinnabar?
An old friend of mine and I are embarking on each making a painting in the old Flemish tradition. Hoping to keep as close to original process as I can, I want to use flake white, lead tin yellow and vermillion.
I am familiar with the (modernish) process to make lead paints, just need the lead. And some cinnabar for vermillion. Probably will need to access a haz-waste center, as well.
No one in the EU sells it, apparently the pigments cannot be shipped. So…DIY.
Think its possible?
