Stick deodorant?

Hi,

Any idea where in Taipei I could find stick deodorant? Just don’t want the white flaky stuff. Something clear maybe (and not “used” ).

First choice would be Speed Stick by Mennen:

bump to this -
I am looking for Old Spice ‘High Endurance’ deodorant in any flavor. Not anti-perspirant, deodorant.
Thanks for any leads.

Talk to “seller”. He’s got a thread somewhere.

They sell it at COSTCO. Go have a look.

Must have overlooked it there. Thanks.

If anyone knows of other sources, please post them.

Watsons should also have something along the lines you are looking for.

I have a 3 pack of Old Spice deoderant for sale

Costco carries Gillette ClearStick coolwave antiperspirant/deodorant, 2 oz, in multipacks. I haven’t found Old Spice (my own favorite), but am now testing an inexpensive personal shopper service in the US, found via eBay (have ordered 2 dozen Old Spice to ship seamail), and if I receive the goods ok will share the contact info here later. Generally, the best thing is to have a family member or friend back home put together a care package, but unfortunately, my family have all moved to Mexico.

So, you like to sweat, you just don’t like the stink!

Lol…well…yeah…I do like to sweat, especially in the sauna.
Seriously though, I don’t like anti-perspirants. They clog the pores and most, if not all of them, contain aluminum in various forms. I don’t like introducing that into my body. Don’t use aluminium(for the Brits) cookware either - same reason.

I like old spice as well and I found mine at Watson by my house. I am going to assume that you can probably find it any Watson right?! Dragon, if you don’t have family in states and needed some, I don’t mind helping you out. Let me know.

I know, I am a girl but I use male deordorant…because they just smell soooo good and it works better!!

Even though Watson’s is a chain store, it seems they don’t all carry the same stuff. Although I haven’t found Mennen’s Speed Stick yet (didn’t go to Costco), I did find something at a Watson’s near me. They had 3 flavors of a stick deodorant by “Ban”. Would probably do in a pinch!

I had to get that once to as an emergency here in Taiwan a few years back. I still have it as I only use it when I have to.

Ooh, a gambling girl who smells like Old Spice. I like!

Well, I’ve been in Watson’s stores looking for this stuff before and found zero, so again, they don’t seem to carry identical inventory. However, what I just recently found had the words “clear” and/or “invisible”, etc. on the item. I also want to avoid the white, powdery stuff and was on the look-out for that. This Ban product seemed to be ok (didn’t buy or open it). But, now that you say that Costco has no Mennen :frowning: , guess it’s back to Watson’s for me.

I just got a box from a shopping service in the States, full of Old Spice APD and other stuff, and would therefore like to recommend this shopping service:

DB,

Can you give a few details about how it worked, surcharges, etc. I can read the website (and will), but I’m interested to know how it working in actuality vs. advertising.

That’s just an email address. Is there a link?

It worked just like advertised, $2.00 for each product, .$25 for each additional item of the same product, good, friendly and prompt service. No link, just the email, but there is more info on the seller on eBay…

I first found this shopping service via item 5959077015 on eBay, where she was offering this for IKEA shopping service, and I contacted her to see if she would broaden it to other items and stores, and she readily agreed. So you can go there to see the eBay feedback on her. ( jkmartin_inc ( 149) Feedback Score: 149; Positive Feedback: 100%

I suppose you could ask if she would get the item for you and then list it as a Buy It Now item on eBay, and after paying with Paypal you would have the standard buyer protection program. If she balked at going out and buying items first (since you might be a no-show on eBay), I guess you could offer a 10% deposit in advance by Paypal.

Anyway, I had a good experience with this one and thought I would share that. I now have my favorite product, and styptic pencils too.

I have seen 2 or 3 different brands of stick deodorant at the little import grocery store called Wellcome (NOT Welcome) - in Tien Mu. It’s on Chung Shan North Road, Section 6, across the street from Jakes Country Kitchen.
