Still looking for jazz-rock musicians

I’m still looking for jazz-rock musicians to link up with and make music. Currently have drums and one guitar. Reach me at q028jc@gmail.com.

Hey. While I’m certainly no jazz player, I am able to fake it pretty well. I play guitar, bass, asst strings and some keys. Let me know!

When in the right mood and after a few glasses of scotch, I might be able to be talked into some scat singing.

Well that’s a good band you are named after.

I would be interested–espeically in your bass, and also keyboard, and
perhaps some back up (or lead) guitar. And strings? You are talented. I
gave a brief description in that note. Jazz rock does capture a lot of it,
but there are elements of heavy rock, pop, and what I call New Age. I play
a solo guitar a lot, and a lot of my music revolves around that. I am
willing to play covers though, and have a lot of experience with this.

It looks like my drums have drifted away, so I am alone again, looking for
something great. If you would like, we can hook up in a studio. I know one
near Shandao Temple, and one near Dongmen station.

If you wish, you can hear my stuff on YouTube. That is my public outlet for
the most part.

Thanks for the contact, and I look forward to hearing from you–and
playing, that’s what I love.

David Pendery

Thanks David,
All the comments I’ve received so far have mentioned my username, ha.
My credentials list sounds more formidable than it actually is. It is possible to be very bad at many things.
If you are in fact the David Pendery “Portrait of Cathy”? that I could find, you are likely outside of my pay grade and wheelhouse.
The music I have written in the past is more rhythm oriented and immature. You may check it out, but I don’t know that it will interest you.

It’s old and embarrassing and some of the songs don’t work anymore. I’m also not a good lyricist or singer. I’m from the Zappa school of thought. You just need them. All played or programmed by me, to my detriment.
Let me know.

Steely
I am not a high pressure guy. And though I might not be fully there, I am a
believer in Zappa. I saw him twice in my home town, he was awesome. Yes,
Portrait of Cathy is me–on acoustic. I like the acoustic, though in a way
I am always an electric guy–from the sweetest to the most acid heavy. I
have lots more on YouTube–a lot of that New Age style I mentioned.

I can’t seem to connect to your work on the Internet, these connections
often don’t function very well.

Sadly, I am no singer either. If I had been–I might well be famous right
now. I actually attempt to sing some of my stuff, but probably I just
should not. What the hell–give it a go. At least somebody is then singing
my stuff. I have written lyrics in pop style songs in the past. Currently I
do not, I consider myself an instrumental musician. A bit haughty, yes, but
what the hey.

I’m game, I’m a believer, always willing to give it a shot. Yes, I ask that
you look into my music as it is, but I am willing to try anything,
including your stuff. You wanna give it a shot–I might ask you to play
bass first and foremost. Let me know. I told you of two studios I know, we
can meet there, pretty easy, and pretty cheap. Talk at you later.

David Pendery

David,
Haughty is a state of mind. Do what you believe most strongly in.
Perhaps if you tried to access the link on mobile? The first two tracks have ceased to function so go straight to the third one.
I don’t expect feedback, nor do I expect to play any of the songs together. I would just like you to know my general musical inclinations. You can decide for yourself if we could try to come to a musical understanding.
Who’s haughty now?

Steely
I’m sorry, I don’t have an adequate mobile. And although I can see the
songs–they don’t seem to open into actual tracks or click-able
connections. That’s all I have for now. Maybe you can knock one out if we
meet up.

So you are saying you don’t want to continue, right?

David Pendery

I am not a musician in this genre, but if you guys ever make some music or play live, that would be great to see.
