In Taipei, Banqiao or Kaohsiung

In SE Asia countries shops offer to disassemble the Note 3 touchscreen from the display module using heat, and then replace only this cheap glass part.

Here in Taiwan all shops I asked* say this separation is “impossible” on Note 3 and want to replace the whole module - which costs ~8K-10K NT$.

  • I checked Samsung service center in Ba De Road, all repair shops in Guanghua market, several random phone repair shops all over Taipei. For some models some shops offer this kind of service, but not Samsung Note 3

I had my Note 3 screen replaced in the Philippines for like NT$1200. It took a couple of hours for whatever glue or treatment that they had to accomplish.
A little bit of a glue leaked out a few days later but the phone was fine.

I recently had my Samsung 7 rear glass cover replaced in Taipei at a streetside shop for NT1000. There must be someplace that will do the Note 3 but I’m not sure.
