Translation of Documents for Visa Question

Good Morning,

Due the new legistlation that went into effect after July 28th, first time American teachers require an FBI background check. In addition, the FBI background check needs to be translated. Does anyone have experience translating their documents themselves? Or do most people just hire a translator to translate their documents?

Not since the new rules, but when I had to get a basic disclosure from the UK to get my marriage based arc, we translated it ourselves and took it to a notary.
