What are some basic or most useful techniques used to translate documents from Chinese to English?

Another translator assistant app open on the screen for reference?

Wait, what, you wear a uniform to do translation?
Side by side is good if you have a very high level of Chinese. But for me its better to replace the text word or phrase by phrase and keep a second source document open. You can do search and replace for repeating terminology. Always in Word unless you’re using translation software like Trados.
I find Grammarly useful for this, just because it’s easier to use web-based translation tools from another web page.
