No no no. It’s French people. 
That’s quite a concerted effort they put in to fuck the place up though. I’d say the reaction of the authorities is quite restrained.

Maybe it was local teenagers practicing gansta lingo, and trying to gain international cred.
Yeah, I wondered about that, but honestly I can’t imagine (say) French hoodlums learning colloquial Chinese just to confuse les flics. British chavs have trouble enough just learning how to write TRAY IS A SLAG in English.

Herd the *male French speakers (I think there’re no more than 1000 of them nationwide), to local police stations and compare their hand-writings.
