I can’t find those spikey buggers in Jason’s, CostCo, Carrefour (sp?), anywhere. I need my choke fix!
Why was my artichokes question edited? I didn’t realize spikey veggies was a controversial topic.
Arichokes -> choking -> sexual violence -> toxic masculinity -> patriarchy

At one time, I did see artichokes in oil at Costco, but I haven’t looked for them for a while. So I’m not sure if Costco still carries them.
That’s artichoke hearts.
Man, is there a harder veggie to find in Taiwan than artichokes? Yes, I suppose brussel sprouts, but those are gross so who wants them anyway?
fennel?
I’ve seen fennel bulbs semi-regularly in City Super for the past year or two.
i don’t think i’ve ever been to city super, is it a taipei thing?
i’ll need to check it out, i miss fennel soooo much
Give me the artichoke, Dr Jones! I throw you the fennel!!
City Super is a big city thing, I guess - I believe they have branches in Taichung and Kaohsiung as well. The international selection is probably about the same as the better branches of Jason’s, with slightly different variety.
Anybody tracking artichokes? Are there fresh ones available now or another time of the year?
Where?
Frozen ones at Carrefour
Never seen a fresh artichoke here. Already lost any hope.
