I need some shots like hep A and B,cholera, tuberculosis etc. for foreign travel. Can I get these at some local clinic or must I accept the presumably longer wait times at a large hospital?Or is there a better alternative?
I went to the Travel Medicine of the NTU hospital to get a TDAP vaccine.
See the map for other hospitals offering that service:

I usually got to hospitals just for a somewhat better peace of mind on QC.
Those things are usually pay doctors, not NHI. Out of pocket, for whatever mysterious reason, tends to have miracoluliusly shorter wait times
Might depend on the place, but expect to be waiting a bit around angry mothers and poorly raised sick children for that reason I go a month or so before travel, let the inevitable cold/flu/etc nastiness to ware off before the trip I went there for hep, yellow fever card and malaria meds. Normally under an hour. Southern Taiwan hospitals.
