So, I cancelled my contract at my cram-school, gave my boss a months notice and they are completely fine with how I handled it. I also have a new, non-teaching job lined up, but won’t be able to get the ARC until after February. Today (2/4) would technically be my last day of the supposed 10 day grace period. My cram-school boss, whom I left on good terms with, told me she only cancelled my work permit. Does this negate my ARC, which is valid until June? Or does my ARC remain valid?
You should be eligible for a 6 month extension if you visit the NIA and apply for one if you have the cancellation paper. Though maybe it’s too late for that. Suggest you pop over and ask them.
