2020 Taiwan Election: the results thread

I peeked at the Taiwan subreddit earlier and someone in the comments said their father-in-law had a reservation made at a nice restaurant to celebrate Han’s victory. Heh. I wonder how that’s gonna go.

Probably will go about as well as the dinner party my parents went to celebrate Hillary’s 2016 election.

They definitely still drank a lot.

Tsai has commanding lead.

The numbers don’t budge. Han at 38% without change. Almost hope he can break 40 to inject some excitement.

they’ll fight with anyone instead of eating

Looks like polls were spot on after all.

I predict they’ll talk very loudly, go red in the face and vomit copiously.

Han’s staged a comeback. Don’t open the bubbly yet.

I guess he can treasure that memory.

Nah. Abject humiliation for him will be more fun if he can’t even crack 40.

According to polls, yes. Age was more clear indicator than geographical region with gender, surprisingly (to me, at least) another variable.
