2020 USA Presidential Elections Latest

This makes a lot of sense. Its unlikely anyone could possibly be undecided in this day and age.

Hope her model is righf!

Curious if you ever read positive news about the US. There are a lot of good things going right. :idunno:

Von Drehle has always been one of a handful of Opinion nimrods at WaPo who seems to have maintained some contact with reality.

I won’t be surprised if the next Gallup poll finds a Trump bump from the confluence of these events. If so, he’ll be in positive territory for the first time — a position of relative strength for which Democrats will share a large part of the blame. They misjudged impeachment, mismanaged Iowa and unwittingly co-starred in a Trump infomercial.

The great mistake of 2016 was to underestimate Trump as an innovative campaign force. Time is running out to avoid a repeat.

Sure, I read a lot of positive things. Then there’s the news.

Blast from the past

Young talking heads eviscerate the DNC.

Just watch. These bozos are going to lose everything - US House, state legislatures: all elections that depend on the top of the ticket - and turn around and blame the big bad GOP for gerrymandering them to political oblivion (again) until 2031.

Lately the news has been pretty good.

The Left is trying to scaring itself into giving a shit about the upcoming election.

Both parties are. Everyone is fighting to keep their respective places of power.

Yeah well… :idunno:

The Democrats are having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week, and it looks like it may not get better starting Monday.

… Importing self-interested operatives from New Jersey, and asking them to run the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee–who could have foreseen that it might end badly?

Happily, from the Democrats’ perspective, news outlets outside of Milwaukee are not likely to inform their readers or viewers of this story.

But Janiyah Davis already attends one of the city’s most sought-after charter schools, The Inquirer has learned. In September, months before she was an honored guest at Trump’s State of the Union address, she entered Math, Science and Technology Community Charter School III.

Tell me again why Petty Pelosi was wrong in ripping up that speech?

Well, now that’s out there. Thank goodness.

After attending public kindergarten, Janiyah moved to Olney Christian for first through third grades. Tuition there is $5,200 for elementary students. She received a partial scholarship, Davis said, but it was still a struggle to afford. So Janiyah transferred to MaST III after she was accepted there last summer.

From your source.

Sounds like mom wanted the girl to be at the Christian school and couldn’t foot the bill. Now she can. Sweet. What’s the hubbub?

Also, from your source via link:

Trump didn’t say what school the girl attended or what school she wants to attend, nor did he explain the scholarship. It turns out Trump’s education secretary, Betsy DeVos, will be paying for it.

DeVos is directly providing the scholarship to Janiyah, the Department of Education said Wednesday. In her personal capacity, the secretary donates her salary every year to various organizations, a department spokesperson said.

Because in doing so, she makes this mom reconsider what normally would be seen as a great act of kindness and charity…which I have heard are Christian tenets.

This paragraph is what needs to be heard

“School-choice supporters believe families should have the right to use government money to pay for whatever school they deem appropriate for their children. Supporters of traditional public schools believe such programs harm school districts by diverting resources and students away from them”.

This is a tough call. Our kids are now in a public school, and there are charter schools nearby that may have better resources if you are lucky enough to win the lottery into them, but then by going there it further weakens the public schools instead of everyone pitching in to make them better. We got into the better school! (Great!). What about the other kids is the question.

We need to build up and improve our public school system, not defund them and push kids to for profit institutions, many with questionable motives financially and no oversight. Some of these charter schools are awesome. Some are Betsy DeVoss.

The obvious agenda with Trump is diverting funds to private institutions that will kick the money back to him. Using public institutions to graft money for himself is what he does.

Save the planet! 11 years at most is it?:

She is so fucking clueless. :joy:

Go Pocahontas, go !!!

Can you explain how there is a connection between Liz Warren flying on a plane and the 11 year thing you mentioned?

These same corporatists are the people that will enact taxes in the name of saving the planet due to ‘climate change’. They pontificate that we the serfs should not travel on planes (fossil fuel cars are the next target) while they fly around in their private jets. Their tool Greta and her cult claim there are 11 years left until it’s over.
