Don’t know anyone living in Tamsui that recently had a baby. I read a couple blog posts online from 2021 to 2023, and some are pretty positive, one from 2021 was a bit of a bad experience I guess. Although the babies are all fine and healthy.

How many days did she stay there? Just the first days or for the entire post partum? (I’ve heard some people stay the entire month). Do you remember what was the cost?

She’s not a typical Taiwanese nor was her mom when it came to post-partum recovery for 1 month. She was an athlete and so couldn’t stand being in bed for so long. I think she stayed 4-5 days, but our newborn children stayed like 2-3 weeks. Got the best care, because of so few other babies for 3 nurses.
Cost definitely much cheaper than those “factory” post-partum centers. Cannot remember exact cost as over a decade ago, but I remember thinking this out of pocket cost is so frigging cheap. Nowadays, you can call hospitals and they’ll probably give whole cost breakdown. They welcome the business, given the declining birth rate.
