$3,000+ cup of coffee, costly date place

Expensive coffee here in Kao City, a costly date place I guess. I wonder would man tell his date to order cheaper?

Probably tastes like shit…

:beaver: :sideeye:

If your buying, I can tell you? Otherwise I can tell I like Family Mart coffee over Seven but are acceptable.

The date or the coffee?

The date (lady) might be happy to try expensive drink, they guy less so if he paid.

Am I the only one who gets really let down by these supposed premium blends from Ethiopia and Colombia? For most of them, I’d prefer a McDonald’s latte or Fam Mart coffee… and that’s not even taking cost into account.

Once you’ve had extremely good coffee, anything less is just “okay”, so the small increments of quality like that just don’t stand out anymore. :person_shrugging:

It’s not just that, I feel like they burn the beans or something. When I get these special blends, most just taste too bitter.

I love espresso, whisky, wine, but once I’ve spent just enough for it to be produced well, any further expense is wasted on me. I can’t tell the different between a 100 NT cup of coffee vs 300 NT, 400 NT wine vs 4000 NT, or 3000 NT whiskey vs 30,000 NT.

Well I feel it’s just the profit margin must be very high? It’s in the area of the city higher income homes so they maybe thought richer would buy it, but seems not.
