Well, that’s not the case in France. A bottle of Stella is cheaper than a bottle of Evian. That’s why all the French cops you see in movies always have a beer in their hand!

This is either a Taichung wide phenomenon or you live just round the corner from where I live. And I don’t live in Taiping.

Some store, not 7/11 have had the 11.5 oz Becks for NT$25 for several weeks now. Also 6-packs for $185 I think.

My local 7/11 has the Stella Artois-NT63, Boddingtons-NT65, and a lot of new Jappanese cans @NT45.

Taiwan Beer is still the best value and quality.

Stella is by far and away the greatest thing to happen to local 7-Elevens since the Pepperidge Farm cookies. No, it’s much better than that. Remember to buy three and get a chance to win a discount or other great prizes!

This summer beer festival blows away last year’s with all the Japanese fake beers IMO. Finally we can roll on summer. :sunglasses:

Becks is the cheapest beer in Taiwan. I’ve seen it in supermarkets for only 19 NT a can.

Ah, a truly divine experience to be able to enjoy a Stella after trudging around in 30 degree heat all day! Does anyone know if this is a keeper in the 7-eleven roster, or just a part of their summer beer promotion? I noticed the distributor is Cottingham; might have to do a bit of friendly lobbying to make sure this one doesn’t disappear…

actually… by “local” I was referring to the place which was very near to where I worked… close to a park where a few friends and I could pick up a few Becks after work and chill…

Have yet to find 25NT Becks in Tai-Ping… but will scour the area upon my inevitable return…

Hey, if you buy 3 beers at 7-11, you can play “Pick a card” and get like 7.9 Zhe2 (21% off) or 8.9Zhe2 (11% off) discounts on the beer.

I just bought 6 coronas that sell for $47 each, which should come to $282 but I got a 7.9Zhe2 (21%) card and paid only $222.

Ps-also bought Cooler Ranch at $35 and got a total of three magnets that completed my very first very own HK magnet collection.
