Not necessary. I watched. Good game, pity Samoa didnāt flog Fiji, thoughā¦
Yes but overall wasnāt it nice seeing the Kiwis not getting any decent result in New Zealand.
The All Blacks can emulate that in next years World Cup Rugby
Indeed, it was satisfying, but thereās not much chance of them losing the RWC in New Zealand. If they do, theyāll never live it down. Also, the entire team will probably be axed and exiled, the coach put in front of a firing squad and the Prime Minister and his entire government will have to resign following the inevitable riots in the streets and general wailing and gnashing of teeth of sheep shaggers* all over both islands.
Obviously meant as a SANZAR term of endearment. Iām not implying that NZāers actually shag sheep.
Well there were riots after they lost 22- 10 against the Walliabies in the semi finals 7 years ago. New Zealand had prepared streamers and ticker tapes to welcome home the WRC champions. After the team arrived they had to be escorted down a back road to avoid being savaged by the press and rugby fans, the stock market droppped 15%, and the suicide rates went up. Kiwis especially hate losing to the Wallabies in RWC matches and they fear playing the French in any Semi Finals.
You and I will be selling our favoured items on the streets of New Zealand next year. Almas John has said he will buy up 50% of our stocks for his family, friends, and all the rugby clubs in NZ.
After all itās been 24 years since the All Blacks have even made it to a WRC final.
Not so. They made the final fifteen years ago and got stomped by the Springboks 15 - 12. Thereās even a movie about it. With Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon even!
Edit: Joking aside, Iām backing them to win RWC 2011. I think itās about time they got another one, because I couldnāt take it if the English (horror of horrors!) won it again. I still havenāt forgiven the 2003 Wallabies for gifting them that one. In Aussie, no less!

Yes my error I meant WON a RWC final. I was living in Taichung ad we had a bar full of people watching on the Thai satellite at the time.
Saffies kicked 5 drop goals in one game from all over the place if I recall correctly.
South Africa has never been the same after winning at home. A win at home for NZ would actually be a disaster.
Well, weāre the current World Champions (and Tri-Nations and Super 14 Champions) having won in France.
btw, that 15-12 RWC 1995 win wasnāt all drop goals. I think both sides had three penalties each, with NZ getting one drop goal and South Africa two.

The game with 5 drop goals by S.A. was when South Africa thrashed Englandā¦ wasnt referring to the final
No I meant South Africa ( as in country ) hasnāt been the same since.

That was in the 1999 RWC. Jannie de Beer single handedly handed England their asses. Awesome game.
Nothing to do with rugby, thoughā¦ Although many would argue itās better. And in some ways it is. Just a pity about the crimeā¦
