A guitar shop in Taoyuan

Hello,
I am living in Taoyuan (close to Taoyuan city) for a little and would like to know where can I find some guitar shops around this area. I know there is a big one in Zhongli city but would like to find a closer one, even if small. I tried to check on google maps but didn’t find much at this stage.
And otherwise, what would be the best guitar shops for you guys in Taipei or even around Taipei?
Thks a lot
Chris

Are you looking to buy guitars/supplies/accessories or do you need a guitar repaired?

If the former, I don’t know of any guitar stores in Taoyuan but there are many in Taipei, but if you need something fixed I do not recommend going to a music store… unless you want your favorite axe ruined. Instead I can fix/setup your guitar the right way…

Thanks for getting back to me.
it would be more for buying rather than fixing indeed.
But it is still good to know an address where I can go if someday i need to repair an instrument.
Where are u based? are u a professional luthier?
Otherwise, do u know some good shops in Taipei city?

I am based in Taipei, I am a professional luthier.

My address is #10 Yangde Blvd. sec. 1 alley 14, please read my blog at taiwanluthiers.wordpress.com for more details.

There’s a guitar shop very close to the train station/FE21.

Thank you guys for the fast answers
I will try to check it out this weekend as I may have enough time.

Do you sell guitars by the way (or perhaps you just repair instruments?)? if yes, what would be an average price for some of your products?

I make custom guitars, starting at 100,000NT

Thank you.
Do you mean very close to Taoyuan Train station? If yes, could you be more precise?

It’s been a few years since I’ve lived in Taoyuan, so this information may be out of date. I can’t give you the exact addresses, but there are at least three. If you can find out where the Indian restaurant (Ali Baba’s?) is, there’s one on the other side of the road, almost directly opposite it. Actually, now that I think about it, there’s one actually downstairs from Ali Baba’s in the basement! There is another one somewhere around the corner within a block or two, but I can’t remember where. They’re all quite small.

Thank you.

Sure. Stand in front of the Starbucks. Cross the street and go right to the end of the block. Turn left and walk to the end of that block. There’s a 7-11 there and people waiting for the buses. Cross the road to the right and walk by the Subber and down to the end of the block. Cross the street that runs parallel to the Subber, a big 4 way intersection. Stick to the left side of thew road and the guitar shop is at the end of the block. Easy peasy.

Or make it to the Subber and ask someone.

Thank you very much guys! I will check all of this out.

Yea, I do not know if it’s the market but I’m very disappointed in what music shops offer here. It’s like they are stuck in the 1980’s or something. As for services it’s laughable. Buy it and basically help yourself if anything goes wrong because the shop will do absolutely nothing if something breaks.
