A place with live music?

I’m new to Taichung (and Forumosa). But I’m itching for some solo acoustic performance, some heavy metal or rock bands, or some other local music scene. Does anybody know a bar/club where I can find something like this in Taichung? I live close to a huge department store called Top City, if that helps. Thanks.

gigguide.tw/ is a good place to start. Ask people when you go to an event. Taichung is the center of Taiwan’s heavy metal scene.

I know a bar called SIMBA that does have live bands everynight. Songs are great over there, as they plays English music sometimes.
