A suitable item to indicate my interest

So, I’ve been seeing a really incredible woman.

Hard working, doesn’t need my money.’

However, since we’ve been ‘dating’ for a month I’d like to give her something to express my interest.

She’s an interior designer, and loves the colour purple.

Ideas?

A copy of Purple Rain by Prince. If that is your thing.

An interior designer might like a miniature Eames chair? ebay.com/itm/Charles-Ray-Eam … 416a8987fa

Maybe something from the MoMA store momastore.org/

If you’re extremely wealthy, then a very nice watch. Longines perhaps, maybe Omega or Rolex…

Thanks for the advice.

I think I’ll go with Prince.

Girl as pretty much she needs - changes watches every day.

purple lingerie?

Good for you bro. If she can afford everything she wants, best gift is something she can’t buy. A buddy of mine hand crafted a little wooden bobblehead of his fiance— it now sits on her dashboard and is with her wherever she goes. She’s since received countless compliments from friends and family.

To a real woman (not one of those attention-seeking, giggly, whiny, high-maintenance girls), her man’s genuine effort is the priceless prize.
As always, it’s the thought that counts :sunglasses: .

i was thinking Lavender. Hopeless romantic that I am…

Lavender is good. Presented in a stalagmite purple quartz piece.
Got the romance and prosperity wishes in one time . East meets West ( …well South in your case)

How about go to Yingge or wherever else has the necessary craftsmen/women and find someone who can custom craft a purple glazed ceramic for her? A personalized pot …damn, now that i thought of it…i just might have to try that one myself :sunglasses:

Can you make something yourself? Anything you made would say tons of how much you appreciate her and the relationship. My ex made a heart shaped key chain with a piece of tennis racket string (he was on tennis team when we were in college), and I loved it. I think something small so she would have it with her all the time, and work some purple or lavender into it. :ponder:

And an interesting, but not uncommon end to this tale - she went PXJ on me.

End of that romance.

Awwww. Hope you didn’t invest too much of yourself.

Funny how PXJs always start off as incredible women

It was going great, but she just got colder and colder and more distant (30 texts/calls a day down to one or two).

Somewhere in the first month I got inklings of her behaviour that reminded my of my Shanghai ex, who started out great and also went PXJ (came at me with a cleaver).

I gotta be more careful in future.

Hey, perhaps she realised she didn’t like me that much, that’s fair. But I prefer being told straight, not playing the smoke and mirrors game.

Also found out her company is actually not doing too well financially. Perhaps that put extra added pressure on her.

Ah, to find the ‘right one’…

I think you got the term PXJ mixed up. To qualify she should have started at 1 or 2 and ended up at 30 or so texts a day. As for the Shanghai girl, while in Asia, nothing says beaver like wielding a cleaver…sorry

Well, don’t leave us hanging. What happened? We all love a good PXJ story, especially those of us who are of the bitter and twisted persuasion. Um, commiserations, though.

Although for future reference I agree with the “make it yourself” posts above. Lavender: also good.

oops. That was weird. I missed the second page. Ignore the above.

Also:

QFT.

Basically from hot to ice cold. Perhaps she lost interest and was winding it down the best way she knew how. I’ve pretty much given up trying to read their minds.

Do you think it might have been the copy of ‘Purple Rain’ that turned her off you? Not everyone loves his unique brand of funk-pop…From my limited experience girls here are more likely to appreciate a ‘Best of Kenny G’ Album, although that’s something of an oxymoron.

Hehe, no. This lady liked all sorts of music. Never actually gave her ‘Purple Rain’.

Just wanna late the OP know, I often call my 7 year old Babelaas…addictive username.
