EM, where are you from. I’m writing a book on humour and how it is perceived.

I’m particularly interested in the German influence on America.

It’s probably correct to be critical of Australian humour. We tend to fall about laughing if somebody has blood spurting out of interesting places after an accident.

I’m sure that is not the correct procedure. However, we would then apply pressure to the wound where the people here you are defending don’t currently seem to learn first aid and would watch horrified as the victims life drained away.

So, if we poke a bit of fun at each others culture I can’t see the harm.
