... A water pressure washer (Karcher)

I just moved to this new place and our rooftop is covered in fungus and other crap. I wanna clear this out to make it neat again, so I’m looking to rent a pressure washer in Taipei.
Anyone know a shop that would rent equipment? Anyone has one and would like to rent it out?

Anyone?

Last night it was on the TV sales channel Viva TV, 1200 nts if I am not mistaken.

Yes, I have seen some sales at B&Q for 1600NTD (for an 80bar unit). But really I just want to use it once, I already got too much stuff!

How about hiring someone to clean it for you? I bet the local shui dien han would be equiped to do so. Won’t set you back more than 300nts I bet, and they could have a lok if anything needs to be fixed. If it has a lot of grime it probably needs some TLC.

The local wu xin stores -hardware stores- sometimes rent drills -from neumatic to power drills- and such. I’ve never seen on eof the washers but they could have one.

I’ve never seen a Hiring shop, guess there isn’t the need for them. But If you don’t want more junk, then go to one of the local DIY shops and buy a stiff broom and a bucket.

Is Hiring a real brand or are you pulling my leg?

I mean go to the nearest shop where are guys who are both plumbers and electricians and general handimen, who would probably have the equipment and expertise to take care of the matter, without the OP having to break a sweat or risk electrocution or be hit by lighting in the process. The lazy among us like to contribute to the local economy by giving work to others. It is cheap, I assure you. There are many, you can do price comparison.

well the name isn’t correct but in the UK there is a firm called HSS Hire http://www.hss.com/ where you can rent machinery that you may only use occasionally.

Hmm … how long have you been living in Taiwan? I know when I clean anything here (car, balcony, apartment floor etc), it’s gonna be covered in grime and look exactly the same just 2 weeks later. Suggest you BUY a pressure washer if you need one and want to maintain that level of cleanliness. The whole kit doesn’t take up much more space than a vacuum cleaner.

Monkey is wise.

Actually, I don’t really use it to clean stuff in surface. It’s usually too strong and leaves/twigs/papers fly away. I prefer using a normal water jet with a broom for that.

A water pressure washer is useful for me to get the black fungus out of concrete and dirt from creases in the floor. Old concrete looks terrible if you don’t take care of it.
I wouldn’t mind hiring someone to do it, if the price wasn’t too crazy. But where to go?

If you have any shop or place to recommend, can you write the characters for the place? For example, what’s shui dien han in characters?

Jeez. Something else I suppose I’m supposed to worry about. :frowning:

Seriously though, if you want to DIY, maybe some of the Jeepnicks over in Cars and Motorcycles would be able to hook you up. They probably have a real need to clean off the undersides after offroading.

Mr. Fix a lot: 水電 han (forgot this one)

hardware store: 五金店

I have but in Xindian, and I can help you look in your area.

Hi Icon

Do you have those details for Xindian? We’re moving to Ankeng shortly so that would be useful.

Thanks

Actually I’m in Wanlong, so Xiandian is good too!

Your rooftop looked great last time. Maybe I was drunk though :-p

Or you were just too focused on the girls in bikini in the pool
