I found this on the web (I found very odd since I was told factories are bad jobs in TW, but some foreigners mostly filipinos work at factories). In a country were most of the foreigners/expats apply for english teaching positions (only if they have work authorization or native english), what other job offers can a standard migrant worker apply to make a living in TW?
I only heard that migrant workers are hired because most Taiwanese don’t want to work manufacturing or factory. I mean there’s probably a lot of sweat shop work, meaning no AC and you literally work through sweat.
That fire at the golf ball factory is probably going to raise some concerns…
That data is absolutely fake. Factory workers are happy if they get 30k per month. UberEATS drivers who work 6 day a week, 12 hours a day make around 80k using their own scooter. If this are salaries in factory I bet no one will deliver food. I’m just comparing those jobs because no much qualifications needed. Btw I know plenty of office workers who can’t make 40k per month.
It’s a bullshit website. Don’t waste your time looking at the numbers there.
Far as I know they make 30k a month if they don’t take on overtime…
If they take on overtime, they make more.
Taiwan considers work more than 8hrs a day overtime by the way.
Yeah that’s what I heard from a filipina in Zhubei, 30k to 35k plus overtime.
